Excerpt: Break into the Global Market Place

Here is a link to an Entrepreneur.com article titled Break into the Global Market Place:

It talks about the different trade agreements we have with different countries. It also mentions a book titled: Doing Business Anywhere: The Essential Guide to Going Global. I wonder how the information might apply to Vernie's business?

This is a test!

Interview with Jimmy Wales of Wikipedia, 9-07

Dear Gang,
Here is a YouTube clip of a Sept. '07, Wall Strip interview of Jimmy Wales, the founder of WIKIPEDIA (and the YouTube link below!):

Interviewer: "You talk a lot about wanting the sum of all knowledge to be open to all. What is the end game of that? What do you people to use the knowledge to do?"
Jimmy Wales: "I could get very Utopian about this but I think most conflict and war is the direct result of ignorance. Poverty is largely caused by lack of educational resources..."

The thing that is very interesting about YouTube is that you can type in all kinds of people's names, and often, there will be one of more interviews of them. It is very nice to put a name with a face and a voice...and an interview!

Bye for now,
Joy

Slideshows: Meet Henry and Shift Happens

In Guy Kawasaki's interesting post today about how he launched his new website, Trumors, he mentioned that he had seen a great slideshow presentation called, Meet Henry. I went to see it, and I liked it, too.

When I went to see the "Meet Henry" slide show at Slideshare.com, I clicked on a tab called, "Favorites," and discovered that Guy had a slideshow about the post he made today about Trumors. Currently, there are two slides at the end of the presentation that are out of order but I am sure Guy will correct that soon.

And then I watched an AMAZING slideshow called, Shift Happens. It is about the demographics of the world and the SPEED of change and technological growth.
